Windows 10 will still solve the annoying problem with default browsers

Windows 10’s default browser selection was an issue. You will need to go into the system settings to change Edge to Chrome. This was not necessary for older versions of Windows 10. The situation is expected to improve.

Early testers of Windows 10 22H2 discovered that they could quickly change the default browser. You only need to push one button and the appropriate item in the system settings will change.

This does not work with Windows 11 as of yet. If you attempt to switch browsers like this, the system will redirect the user to the default section. Here the browser must be manually selected.

Opera and Firefox already support one-click browser assignments. This feature will be available in Chrome starting in the autumn of this year. When Windows 10 22H2 launches in September, the update will be available. It’s not clear if Microsoft will “fix” Windows 11 the same way.

Earlier, it was reported that Office 2021 started showing advertisements for Microsoft 365.
