Windows 10 Release Preview Build 19044.1862 (KB5015878) IOPS and More performance Improvements

Microsoft released a new Windows 10 version, Build 19044.1862 KB5015878 for Insiders via the Windows 10 Release Preview Channel. It improves Input-Output operations per second (IOPS) performance and reliability for push-button resets after OS upgrades.

Below is a long list of changes.

The following improvements were made to the update:

New! You can now consent to receiving urgent notifications when focus assistance is on.
The new functionality has been restored for Windows Autopilot deployment scenarios which are affected by the security mitigation to hardware reuse. This update removed the self-deploying mode (SDM), and pre-provisioning restrictions (PP). The update also restored any User Principal Name (UPN), in user-driven mode UDM deployments for approved producers.
We have reduced the overhead of resource contention when there are many threads competing on one file.
After an OS upgrade, we improved the reliability and usability of push-button resets.
We have fixed an issue which makes the tenant restrictions event log channel unaccessible if the EN-US Language Pack is removed.
We have fixed an issue that prevented troubleshooters opening.
To properly interact with Microsoft OneDrive folders, we updated the Remove–Item cmdlet.
An issue caused docking stations that are in Sleep mode to lose internet connectivity during wake-up has been fixed.
To improve the OS upgrade experience, we added functionality to cache additional audio endpoint information.
In games that use DX12, we fixed an issue that could cause video clips to not play back consecutively.
An issue was fixed in certain games that use XAudio API for sound effects.
Port mapping conflicts with containers were fixed.
We have fixed an issue that caused Code Integrity not to trust files after they were modified.
Windows Defender Application Control can be stopped working if you have the Intelligent Security Graph feature enabled.
We have fixed an issue that affected the height of Search boxes when multiple monitors have different resolutions (measured dots per inch (DPI).
An issue prevented the Storage Migration Services (SMS), from creating inventory on servers with many shares was fixed. The system logs error event 2509 in Microsoft-Windows-StorageMigrationService/Admin channel (ErrorId=-2146233088/ErrorMessage=”Invalid table id”).
An issue that caused the Windows profile service occasionally to fail has been fixed. This could happen when you sign in. The error message is “gpsvc failed to sign in.” Access denied”
