Elon Musk began to become politicized by the US’s deteriorating economic condition. He started commenting on American politics on Twitter. The Tesla and SpaceX chiefs touched on the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the presidential race. Musk believes that Trump shouldn’t run for President in the United States elections in 2024, as he is very old.
Musk wrote on his Facebook page that “I don’t hate this person, but it’s time for Trump to hang his hat and hide under the rays of sunset”. He also stated that the former US President, who is now 76 years old, will turn 82 at the end of his second terms. He said that he was too old to serve as chief executive of any organization, let alone the United States of America. Musk also asked members of the Democratic Party to “stop the attack on” the former president. He said that they should not contribute to the fact that Trump’s re-election as head of state is “the only thing to save” .
Musk also spoke out to support Republican Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida. Desantis is a businessman who believes he can easily beat Biden in 2024 .
