After the initial spy photos of Chery Tiggo 9’s flagship crossover, renders were created to better examine the new product.
Chery Tiggo 9 was first revealed last year. The car is currently registered under model number T26. The car will receive premium retractable door handles and a new design.
Chery’s internal documentation states that the T26 will use the T2X platform and will have dimensions that are slightly larger than the Tiggo 8. Pro. With a wheelbase measuring 2800mm, the exact dimensions of the T26 will be 4780x 1920x1700mm. Chery Tiggo 9 is available in five, six, and seven-seater options. The vehicle will come with either a 1.6-liter or 2-liter turbo engine, and a 7-speed “robot”. You can choose to have the driving front- or full-time.
Chery is also working on a crossover codenamed T26J. This will be a modified Tiggo 9 sports car with a 5-seat saloon and a 2-liter engine. It will have an 8-speed auto transmission.
A frameless grille will be installed on the front of the Chery Tiggo 9 to resemble Omoda 5. The headlights will be distinguished by the presence of LED running lights, and an under-mounted block of the high- and low beams. Chery Tiggo 9’s turn signals are represented in horizontal stripes located underneath the headlights. At the bottom of the bumper can be seen by the adaptive cruise control radar and fog lights.
Chery Tiggo 9’s rear has one block of lights. The horizontal elements beneath them are where turn signals and stoplights are located.
These renders were created in the same way as Chery Arrizo 8’s first images, which turned out to be very close to real life.
