The network now has new information about when AMD will release Ryzen 7000 processors. AMD CEO Lisa Su suggested that they could be expected during the current quarter in a Q&A session regarding the company’s earnings. Now network sources have confirmed the date. According to reports, AMD Ryzen 7000 will be announced August 29, 2022.
The embargo on reviewing will be lifted on September 13, so you’ll have to wait for a few weeks to see how the new processors perform. Sales will begin on September 15th. Motherboards built on the X670 chipsets are also available for sale.
Based on previous leaks, these processors are likely to be launched:
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
All models will be equipped with socket AM5 support, Zen 4 architecture, and 5 nm technology. The number of cores/threads ranges from 6/12 in the youngest model to 16/32 in the oldest. The most powerful models will consume 170 W and can operate at frequencies greater than 5.0GHz. Prices are not yet known
In tests, the Ryzen 5 7600X beat the Ryzen9 5950X by a wide margin.
