The long-awaited Always-On Display in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will allow you to display widgets from the lock screen
According to all data, at least older iPhones of the iPhone 14 series will get Always-On Display support.
Mark Gurman, Bloomberg journalist, stated that the Always-On Display will enable new widgets to be displayed on lock screens with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max models.
This allows you to display the clock, calendar, weather forecast, stock quotes and other information on the off screen. All this is possible through widgets for your lock screen. It is not yet clear how it will be possible for such data to be interacted with in Always-On Display mode.
We recall that older models of the new generation have 120 Hz screens, which can reduce the frame rate to 1Hz. Smartphones will be able to use battery power more economically when they are in Always-On Display mode.
