The majority of Android phones today have front-facing cameras that are integrated into the screens. Sony continues to produce phones with a sufficient but small top frame that allows for enough space for the front-facing camera.
Sources have released the first renders of Sony’s next-gen flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1V. It is expected to sport a smaller bezel. It has four small holes.
An insider claims that Sony is developing a new front camera technology (micro matrix multicamera synthesis technology), that is unlike anything currently on the market. Although details about the work of this technologist are not available, it is possible to assume that light will be collected through four small holes that can be placed on any frame.
The Sony Xperia 1 V is expected to be released next year.
