Samsung skips Exynos SoCs in 2023

Samsung would have chosen to ignore the Exynos chips in the Galaxy S23/S24. The band did not release a new chip in response to the criticism. Samsung prefers to spend the time developing a new Exynos chipset in 2025.

All Galaxy S models sold in America are equipped with a Snapdragon SoC from Qualcomm. However, smartphones marketed in Europe or Asia use Exynos Chips developed by the brand’s own teams. Many users have expressed concern about the performance differences between Exynos chips and Qualcomm solutions in recent years. Samsung has reportedly decided to skip Exynos SoCs in two future generations. According to Naver, a well-respected South Korean blog, Samsung won’t equip the Galaxy S23 Galaxy S23 with any processors it designed.

The Galaxy S23 is expected to be on the market by early 2023. It will use only Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. The Galaxy S24 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2024. This group will be responsible to define the contours for the future Exynos chips, which will be the flagship component of the brand’s ecosystem. This chipset will be a major step forward for Samsung. According to leaks, Samsung hopes to be able to compete with Apple . Apple has relied on its own chips, Soc A BIONIC, for its iPhones for many years. Samsung denied making any decision about Exynos chips when it was contacted by Android Authority. The group states that Samsung is in constant discussions with customers to develop mobile processors of comparable quality, but no decision has been made.
