Intel graphics cards are delayed – what is known and when to wait

Intel representatives Ryan Schruut and Tom Petersen have shared a lot of information over the past few weeks about the new Arc A750 graphics cards and A770. They did not mention the most important thing, however: when they will be available on the market.

Intel said last week that it received its first batch Arc A750 LE cards to ship to journalists immediately. However, the company has yet to confirm this. The data from YouTube’s Moore’s Law is Dead’s is particularly interesting.

The source says that system integrators should have received their first Arc A770 cards, A750, A580, and A380 cards by July 31st. However, there is currently only one younger model available on the Chinese market.

The company has thus far missed the “window” that was planned. We also note that the slides were created at the end of June, or beginning of July. The real situation may be different.

Rumours abound that the cards might not be released. However, Moore’s Law is Dead’s author says that they were simply delayed until September. The failures of Arc may mean that future generations of cards will be delayed even further. In any event, the sources seem to agree that Intel video cards have issues, but not all of them are solved.

The fact that video card prices have fallen due to “crypto winter”, makes it unclear what the prospects for Intel graphics cards. Arc A770 and A750 can compete with current Nvidia and AMD accelerators. However, more powerful solutions will be available soon.
