India’s IT spending set to touch $110 billion: Report
The forecast for India has been revised from $105.2 billion. This is primarily due to India’s growth in smartphones in 2021.
“In 2022, Indian CIOs will continue to spend more on analytics, machine learning and customer experience, and that’s in addition to devices,” said the statement. Naveen Mishra, senior research director at Gartner.
It also stated that worldwide IT spending would reach $4.4 trillion by 2022, increasing 4 percent from 2021.
In 2022, software spending is expected to rise by 9.8% to $674.9 trillion in IT services. Globally, it is expected to rise 6.8% to $1.3 trillion.
According to the report, there is no direct impact expected from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on global IT spending.
