Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is actively involved in developing space tourism opportunities.
According to a source, ISRO is working on developing its capabilities in this area. This includes demonstrating the capability of manned space flight to low Earth orbit. It is not clear how all of this should be done.
This is not surprising considering that India, despite being a space power for a while, has yet to launch its own astronauts into orbit. The implementation of the corresponding mission is still in progress. Four astronauts will travel into space with the Gaganyaan spacecraft developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
It is important to note that space tourism refers to fast tourist flights. Low Earth orbit also implies the flight into space. It starts at approximately 150 km. This means that we are referring to a full-fledged space flight and not suborbital as it is with many companies currently working in space tourism.
