The US Department of Defense created a special unit to study unidentified objects in space and air. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office was created. Its mission is to mitigate the threat from unidentified objects and even their destruction. Director of the directorate has been named Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick (Chair Scientist, Defense Intelligence Agency’s Center for Missile and Space Intelligence).
The mission of the AARO was to synchronize U.S. federal agencies and the Department of Defense in identifying, identifying and attributing objects of concern at or near military installations, areas of operation, training ranges, special facilities and, if required, mitigating potential threats to aviation safety. The message states that this includes “anomalous, unidentified, space, air, underwater, and trans-medium objects”.
The AARO Executive Council, headed by Ronald Moultrie (Undersecretary of Defense Intelligence and Security), will oversee and guide AARO in surveillance and data collections, reconnaissance operations and target engagement.
The UFO research report released by the US government in 2021 was ridiculed and criticised previously. Out of the 144 phenomena that were studied, 143 were left unidentified. One was correctly identified, a deflated balloon.
It was later revealed that Travis Taylor, a TV presenter and former astrophysicist and ufologist, was the primary researcher of unidentified flying objects of US Department of Defense. Taylor is also a supporter of the existence of supernatural beings. Taylor stated that he had seen more UFOs than he could count and that supernatural beings were following him around to destroy his car.
