Google Maps Navigation Feature Gets Rich With Vehicle Graphics

We had seen the iOS feature that allows you to choose a different vehicle for road navigation in Google Maps. This function was already available on the iOS app.

It seems, however, that the feature will soon be available to smartphone users as Reddit users have posted about it.

This allows you to transform a blue arrow into a vehicle with a color choice of one red, one yellow or one green. While the functionality is enjoyable, we admit that the rendering is poor and the 3D model of these vehicles is quite cluttered within the navigation graphics.

Start street navigation and tap the blue arrow to activate them. You can then choose from one of three vehicles or the original Arrow. Android Auto does not have this feature. The work is still being released and it seems that no one has yet received the news.
