Galaxy Z Flip 5G is the first Samsung foldable to receive One UI 3.0 and Android 11

The latest updates from Samsung continue the goal to introduce the One UI 3.0 interface to its main smartphones in 2020. It was already on Galaxy S20FE, the mid-high range offering from South Korea. Today, it will be on the Galaxy Z flip 5G.

The Samsung 5G folding clamshell Samsung has received Android OneUI 3.0 and 11 updates, while no sightings have been made for the LTE model (which, as we recall, is based on Snapdragon 855+ compared to the Snapdragon865+ from 5G) nor for the Fold series, particularly the Z Fold 2.

Updates have been available on models in Switzerland. However, it is not likely that the update will be available in Italy for the model marketed in Italy. We have seen over the past few months how Samsung is standardizing the timing of updates in different markets. This includes releasing updates within close proximity to all regional variants. The firmware is identified by the initials F707BXXU1CTL6. At the moment, there is no information about the foldable improvements made by One UI 3.0.

We will have to wait for the firmware to be delivered to our phones so we can start exploring it better. If you’d like to see what makes this series of smartphones special, you can check out the 4G version review. The user experience is almost identical to the 5G model.
