The WCCF resource cited some of the features of the AMD Ryzen 7000 processors. They will be making their official debut soon and will also be available for sale to all. Although the specifications are extensive, the prices are only indicative. They are based on the price of the Ryzen 5000 at launch.
These are the main features of the four new models (at first, they will be shown as four models):
CPU Architecture Technology, Process Number of threads/cores Base frequency: GHz Maximum frequency, GHz Cache size, MB TDP, W Price (approximately). AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Zen 4 5 16/32 4.5 5.7 80 MB (64+16) 170 $700 AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Zen 4 5 12/24 4.7 5.6 76 MB (64+12) 170 600 dollars AMD Ryzen 7 7700X Zen 4 5 8/16 4.5 5.4 40 MB (32+8) 105 300 dollars AMD Ryzen 5 7600X Zen 4 5 6/12 4.7 5.3 38 MB (32+6) 105 200 dollars
It is expected that the transition from Zen 3 architecture to Zen 4 architecture will bring an 8-10% rise in IPC. AMD also expects a 15% improvement in single-threaded performance and a 35% increase for multi-threaded performances. Efficiency (performance per watt should rise by at least 25%) is another benefit. The maximum TDP values will be 230W for 16- and 12-core models, and 142W for 8- and 6-core models. The table shows that the standard TDP values are lower.
Ryzen 7000 also features twice the L2 cache (1MB versus 512KB), shared cache L3, support for PCIe Gen 5.0, and DDR5. New CPUs will soon be available for installation in the AM5 socket.
