Kickstarter launched a crowdfunding campaign this summer to raise funds for the Ficihip keyboard. This mechanical keyboard features a touch display and a 1920×515 resolution. It also supports 10-point multi-touch.
According to the company, a touch screen reduces mouse use by approximately 50%. It is compatible with Samsung DEX, Huawei EMUI and other mobile operating systems, including Windows and macOS. The touch screen can only be used in the second case.
The novelty features 71 buttons that have K2 Gateron switches. The keyboard features RGB backlighting and a USB-C connector for connecting to a computer. You can also use the keyboard as a hub to click a mouse, drives, etc., via two USB 2.0 Type-A ports.
Although it isn’t yet known when the novelty will be available, the retail price is $ 389. It is also not known in what markets the keyboard will be sold.
Xiaomi previously showed a backlit mechanical gaming keypad. However, the price is significantly lower.
