ASRock, a Taiwanese manufacturer, is best known for its motherboards. However, ASRock also makes PCs for home and industry. Contract manufacturer Pegatron owns the company and plans to expand its product range and sell gaming monitors.
ASRock is a brand PC gamers love and Taiwanese motherboards enjoy a great reputation. The company wants to expand that reputation by offering multiple gaming monitors simultaneously. As reported by TechPowerUp, ASRock will soon launch two identical devices. They will be numbered respectively PG34WQ15R or PG27FF.
ASRock Phantom Gaming
Both names have the letter “PG” in them, which is most likely Phantom Gaming, ASRock’s marketing term for its top hardware. The company states that it aims to “provide gamers, professionals, and PC enthusiasts with a premium range of products.”
Both monitors have been confirmed by appearing on different certification lists. This means that a release is likely. Both monitors work with AMD FreeSync. They also appear in the correct Overview form the chip and graphics card manufacturers. Model PG34WQ15R features a 34-inch VA panel and a resolution 3440 x 1440 pixels. The refresh rate can be achieved via DisplayPort, but it can also be done via HMDI HDR support.
Although prices are still unknown, it is likely that the monitor will be expensive. The PG27FF is a 27-inch IPS panel that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a refresh rate at 165 Hz. HDR is also available. It is likely that this monitor will come in three versions, though it is not clear how they differ from one another.
