Apple are currently developing a new Smartwatch generation, which could be released this fall. The leaks reveal that both versions of the smartwatches have a temperature sensor, which allows it to detect fever and alert the user.
Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman provided the information. He has contacts with Apple suppliers and employees. He reports in the Power On Newsletters that the Apple Watch Series 8 will soon be available with a temperature sensor. Although the smartwatch cannot display exact temperature readings, it could alert the user if there is a higher than normal temperature.
It remains to be seen if the iPhone manufacturer will equip the Apple Watch Series 8 temperature sensor. The possibility exists that the company may reconsider including the temperature sensor in the wearable and instead integrate it with the next-generation model. The new Apple Watch will have very few innovations, aside from the clinical thermometer. Mark Gurman believes that the new models will perform the same as Series 6 or Series 7.
There are no performance or design upgrades.
The future models will launch next year and a performance upgrade will likely be added to the range. It is also important to carry over the design from its predecessor. The Series 8 with a higher price should have a better display. The Apple Watch Series 8 will be unveiled at an Apple event this fall. There is currently no date.
