AMD has released a report on its second quarter fiscal year 2022.
The company’s revenue increased by 70% during the reporting period to 6.55 billion dollars. Operating profit dropped by 37% to $526million, while net income plummeted to $447million.
It makes sense to examine the financial performance of these companies, as AMD recently outperformed Intel in terms market capitalization. Intel recorded a net loss in excess of $500 million and generated $15.3 billion revenue during the same time period. The company’s revenue declined by 22%. By the way, Intel’s capitalization is now slightly higher than AMD.
AMD’s revenue continues to grow and has now set a new record for the past eight quarters. We can see that all the divisions saw an increase in revenue if we look at the report more closely. The most interesting situation is with the Embedded Division, whose revenue grew 230% over the previous year to $1.257 Billion!
